iTunes has to play video now ‘cos some downloaded albums contain bonus videos and Steve wants you to be able to watch them without switching to another app.
And maybe later Steve will be trying to sell you movies at the iTMS.

brilliant – iTunes doesn’t anti-alias it either… took me a little while to figure out that I had to open the album artwork window to see video in iTunes, though… not especially intuitive.
